Hold the guest's chosen tables, rooms, or attractions so nobody else books them while they finish paying or filling details.

Why it matters: Without a hold, two guests can pick the same place; the second booking then fails or double-books. Real venues use this between selection and Online-Direktzahlung (PayNow).

When to use: After Manuelle Platzauswahl (ManualSelectPlanElements) / Automatisches Auswählen von Planelementen (AutoSelectPlanElements) (and a timeframe), before payment or long forms. Skip it for menu-only shops with no floor plan.

Configuration highlights:

• How long the hold lasts (ExpirationTime)
• Extra buffer around the visit (OccupationSlack)
• Optional fallback plan / time plan if occupation needs a default

Typical place in the funnel: time + elements → Elemente vor-reservieren (PreReserveSelectedElements) → contact / price → Online-Direktzahlung (PayNow) → sync.

Note: In older backups the step type may appear as Elemente vor-reservieren (PreReserveSelectedElements) — same step.
